Music and Well-Being School Incursions

We are passionate about bridging cultural gaps in schools.

With our multicultural society, it is becoming increasingly important for children to learn,

understand and appreciate others and their differences.

With instruments from all over the world including Africa, India, and Indonesia,

the children love listening to and playing these unique instruments.

Drumming Workshops, Classes and Team Building

Why not get together with friends and try a new experience? Drumming is a very social and fun way to spend your birthday or team building event. Drumming is fantastic for coordination, focus, and confidence.

Rhythm Unites can tailor make a workshop or party to suit your needs. All ages and levels of musical experience can be tailored for. All drums are provided and sessions can also include African dancing if requested.

Why Drumming and Rhythm?

Sound helps to facilitate shifts in our brainwave state by using entrainment. Entrainment synchronises our fluctuating brainwaves by providing a stable frequency which the brainwave can attune to.

By using rhythm and frequency, we can entrain our brainwaves and it then becomes possible to down-shift our normal beta state (normal waking consciousness) to alpha (relaxed consciousness),

and even reach theta (meditative state) and delta (sleep; where internal healing can occur).

Participating in regular rhythmic practices has a range of proven benefits including:

The building of confidence and self-esteem

Assists in hand/eye coordination

Increases focus and attention

Increases overall well-being

Advances levels of engagement and social skills

What Other People Say

"All of our students thoroughly enjoyed the incursions and were engaged in the activities held by “Rhythm Unites”. The hosts were fabulous at getting students attention and presenting the information at an appropriate level. Students were still raving about the performance afterwards! Rhythm Unites covers Indigenous aspects of the curriculum and would complement music or cultural units of learning".
